hey are the work of Brad Lappin, 42, a Culinary Institute of America graduate who has been making pretzels for friends for years. So many pals told him the pretzels were out of this world that he rented commercial kitchen space and started making them for the Boulder gourmet store Cured (where they are more petite), and the Biergarten (where they could adorn the prow of a Viking longship).
