We have just received some very exciting honors and attention for our beer and brewpub. In its new May issue, two of All About Beer's esteemed beer reviewers -- Malt Advocate's John Hansell and A-list beer writer Stephen Beaumont -- reviewed our hand-canned Rail Yard Ale and gave it hearty praise. Mr. Hansell noted Rail Yard's balance, caramel maltiness and thirst-quenching joys. Mr. Beaumont touted the beer's "Macintosh apple fruitiness" and "just faintly toffee-ish finish" and deemed it "an excellent job translating the Wynkoop experience into a can." Wonderful! Colorado’s first brewpub brings back vintage delivery method on April 16 (Denver, Colorado) – On April 16 at 7 PM, Wynkoop Brewing Company will begin the first of its new horse-powered deliveries of Rail Yard Ale and its other small-batch beers. At 7 PM a wagon pulled by two 2,000-pound Clydesdale horses will roll out from the alley behind Wynkoop Brewing Company and head to a few of the brewery’s downtown beer retailers. College administrator and retired Navy officer wins 14th annual beer lover title at Wynkoop Brewing Company (Denver, Colorado) – Bill Howell, a Sterling, Alaska college administrator, retired Navy officer, homebrewer and beer educator, won the 2010 Beerdrinker of the Year title on February 27 at Wynkoop Brewing Company. Before a standing-room-only crowd, Howell weathered two hours of difficult beer questions from a panel of US beer experts and former Beerdrinker winners to win the title. Ultimate beer lovers from Denver, Georgia and Alaska to compete for 14th Beerdrinker of the Year title on February 27 at Wynkoop (Denver, Colorado) – Wynkoop Brewing Company’s judging panel has picked its three finalists for the brewpub’s 2010 Beerdrinker of the Year award.
