Are you America’s biggest beer nut? Wynkoop Brewing Company is now seeking beer resumes from the nation’s most beer-minded men and women for our 2012 Beerdrinker of the Year contest.
The 16th annual contest seeks and honors America’s most passionate, knowledgeable beer lovers and beer ambassadors.
Win the Beerdrinker of the Year crown and you get free beer for life at Wynkoop Brewing Company and a $250 beer tab at your favorite local brewpub or beer bar.
You also win 2012 Beerdrinker of the Year clothing and have your name engraved on the Beerdrinker of the Year trophy at Wynkoop. And you get to brew a custom batch of beer of your choice with Wynkoop head brewer Andy Brown.
Best of all, you enjoy the lofty acclaim that comes from being named the nation’s greatest beer nut.
To enter the contest, applicants must submit beer resumes that include the entrant’s beer philosophy, and details on their passion for beer and their 2011 beer experiences.
Resumes should also detail the entrant’s understanding of beer and its history and importance to civilization, along with the entrant’s efforts to educate others to the joys of great beer.
A few more rules:
• Your resume must be in Word format in a 12-point
or larger font and not exceed three pages.
• It must detail your beer philosophy, beer drinking
history and 2011 beer experiences.
• It must include the name of your hometown brewpub or
beer bar, and your T-shirt size.
• Do not enter if you are currently employed in the beer-making trade.
- Resumes must be sent by email to beerdrinker@wynkoop.com and be received by Wynkoop by no later than December 31, 2011.
Each entrant will receive an email confirmation that their resume was received.
Resumes for the Beerdrinker of the Year are reviewed by the nation’s beer experts, beer journalists and previous Beerdrinker winners. The top three entrants are flown to Wynkoop Brewing Company (at our expense) for the Beerdrinker of the Year National Finals on February 25, 2012 at 2 pm
At the finals a panel of wigged & robed judges (comprised of the nation’s best beer minds and previous Beerdrinker winners) grills the finalists and picks the 2012 winner. The event is open to the public and starts at 2 PM.
Think you have what it takes to win the Beerdrinker of the Year title? Write up that resume and email it to us.
